Philosophy
The materials I use in my works are mainly taken from disused industrial buildings, school clearances and flea markets. They are carefully chosen artifacts whose charm and character make them stand out. These various items aren't forced together – instead they find their way to each other in my workshop. Only very occasionally are parts mechanically altered. I prefer to make use of existing shapes and forms and combine totally unrelated items to create completely new structures. The resulting sculptures emerge in a sort of metamorphosis involving several intermediate stages until they finally take their place in the world as independent personalities.
